Once, in a village in the mountainous area of Gortynia, the teacher asked his pupils:

- It was the people of Lagadia with their donkeys”, the pupils responded.

The Arcadian village of Lagadia has been declared a traditional settlement. Amphitheatrically built at an altitude of 500 and 1000 meters, it is rightly called the “suspended village”

It is one of the most beautiful mountainous villages in the Peloponnese, renowned for its stonemasons, who travelled not only the Peloponnese but the entire country, building houses, churches, and bridges.
